Strathcona County RCMP arrest female for aggravated assault

 

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP have arrested a female in relation to an aggravated assault on two victims.

 

On May 14, 2022 at 7:14 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report of an assault from the Strathcona County Hospital who had two male victims suffering from stab wounds.

 

The victims indicated they were assaulted in a vehicle by a female known to them while travelling on Highway 21 in Sherwood Park, Alta. 

 

Denise Deschamps (23) of Wetaskiwin, Alta. has been charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Disobeying court order (x2)

Deschamps was released following a Judicial Interim Release hearing and is scheduled to appear on June 15, 2022.

 

This matter is before the courts, so no further details will be provided.

 

Both victims suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and have since been released from hospital.
