Strathcona County RCMP arrest two for attempted kidnapping

 

Strathcona County, Alta. – On Sept.18, 2024, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Strathcona County RCMP received a report from a witness who observed an assault and a male attempting to be forced into a vehicle on Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park, Alta. The male was able to get away and the suspects fled. Police responded and located the male victim unharmed. The involved individuals were known to each other.

 

Lorne Nadeau (31) and Natalya Syskakis (42), both residents of Sherwood Park, were charged with:

 

  • Kidnapping without a firearm
  • Assault

 

Syskakis also faces an additional count of break & enter.

 

Following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Nadeau and Syskakis were released on conditions and next court date is set for Oct.16, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park.
