Strathcona County RCMP investigate Aggravated Assault

 

Sherwood Park, Alta. – On Dec. 5, 2023, at 8:19 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report of a stabbing at an apartment on Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park.

 

Upon arrival, emergency crews tended to a 28-year-old female victim with serious life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to hospital and is expected to survive. The RCMP Strathcona County GIS was dispatched to support the detachment. 

 

Investigation has identified the suspect in this case. RCMP have obtained an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Guy Joseph Menard. Menard who has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Failing to comply with probation order.

Despite efforts to locate Menard, RCMP have not been successful and we are asking for public assistance.

 

Guy Menard is described as:

 

  • Light complexion
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Large Monster energy tattoo on neck

 

Guy Menard is believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, Do Not Approach, please call 911 or your local police agency.
