Strathcona County RCMP investigate sudden death

Strathcona County, Alta. – On Oct. 2, 2022 at 9:03 a.m., the Strathcona County RCMP responded to a 911 call of body in the water near Township Road 540 in Strathcona County, Alta. Officers attended the scene and confirmed the male victim was deceased.

Police identified the male as a 58-year old, resident of Edmonton, Alta., and the next-of-kin has been notified. 

The circumstances surrounding his death remains under investigation by Strathcona County RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) although believed to be non-suspicious. An autopsy has been ordered by the office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
