Strathcona County RCMP investigating incident involving a female youth

Strathcona County, Alta – Strathcona County RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying a male involved in an incident with a female youth.

On Sept. 25, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., an unknown male approached a female youth while walking on Cedar Street in Sherwood Park, Alta. The male grabbed the youth but the youth was able to pull away and flee the area. The youth contacted their parents and attended the RCMP detachment to report. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

The male is described as:

  • Male approximately 18 to19-years-old
  • 5’9” to 6 feet tall
  • Slim build
  • Choppy brown hair
  • Wearing a grey hoodie, with the hood up with possible black writing on the arm
  • Sunglasses
  • Black sweat pants

Police are asking anyone who may have video surveillance or doorbell cameras in the area of Fir Street and Cedar Street during 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., to contact police.

Police continue to investigate this incident.
