Strathcona RCMP advise of traffic disruption during Regimental Funeral for Cst. Dhami

 

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP will be redirecting traffic Thursday morning April 20, 2023, for a Regimental Funeral procession as we say goodbye to our fallen comrade, Cst. Harvinder Dhami.

Alberta RCMP members and first responders will be marching from:

 

  • Bethel Lutheran Church (298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park) north along Bethel Way;
  • west on Lakeland Drive; and
  • north on Premier Way to Millennium Place (2000 Premier Way, Sherwood Park).

Road closures to begin at 7 a.m. Thursday morning. Procession route traffic will resume normal operations at approximately 12 p.m. with some restrictions remaining in the vicinity of Millennium Place until 5 p.m.

The RCMP will be livestreaming the procession and funeral service on the Alberta RCMP YouTube channel.

 

The Strathcona County Community Centre’s Agora will be open to the public to watch the live-stream service from 11 am – 2 p.m. (401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park).

 

Cst. Dhami believed in service to the community and was a big supporter of the Meals on Wheels program. The family has asked, in lieu of flowers or other donations, for the members of the public to support their local Meals on Wheels program.
