Strathcona County RCMP advise public of increased police presence - update

Sherwood Park, Alta. - Strathcona County RCMP advises that all officers have cleared the scene in the Emerald Hills area of Sherwood Park. RCMP were actively looking for an adult male suspect who is wanted by police.

Police have searched the area thoroughly and we do not believe the suspect is in the immediate vicinity. Although the suspect was not located, we do not believe there is a risk to the community at this time. 

We ask that the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the Strathcona County RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Strathcona County RCMP advise public of increased police presence

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP is advising a heavy police presence in the Emerald Hills area of Sherwood Park, as officers investigate an unfolding incident. 

For public and police safety, we ask that people avoid the area and refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media.  There is no risk to the public.
