Strathcona County RCMP on scene at serious motor vehicle collision – Update #2
Strathcona County, Alta. – On July 17, 2024, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report of a serious collision involving a Peterbilt semi-tractor and a Cadillac at the intersection of Highway 14 and Range Road 232 in Sherwood Park, Alta.
Strathcona County RCMP attended the scene along with Strathcona County Emergency Services. The 88-year-old driver of the Cadillac was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 48-year-old driver of the semi-tractor was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Although the collision is still under investigation, Strathcona County RCMP’s preliminary investigation indicates the semi-tractor was heading eastbound on Highway 14 when it collided with the Cadillac that entered the intersection.

Sherwood Park, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP is currently on scene at a serious collision on Highway 14 at Range Road 232. At this time, east bound lanes are down to one lane and traffic is moving very slow through the scene.
RCMP are asking you to avoid the area and take anther route if possible.
