Strathcona County RCMP On Scene Of Serious Motor Vehicle Collision-Update

Strathcona County, Alta. – On Sept. 17, 2024, at 6:29 a.m.,  Strathcona RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision on Township Road 54 and Range Road 214 in Strathcona County. Upon arrival the driver of one of the vehicles, a 65-year-old Lac Ste Anne County resident, was deceased. The driver of the other vehicle, a 42-year-old Spruce grove resident, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP remained on scene several hours investigating the collision. Police are now clear and normal traffic flow has resumed.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision and an investigation is underway with the 42-year-old surviving driver.

The Alberta RCMP send their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP are currently on scene of a serious two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Range Road 214 at Township Road 554. While emergency workers respond, traffic is being redirected. RCMP anticipate remaining on scene for several hours. 

An update will be sent when the scene is clear.
